Poonam Ka Chand is a 1967 Indian Bollywood romance film released on Jan 01, 1967. The film is directed by Suresh Tripathi. The man who is not proficient in any of the arts such as music, art and literature is no better than an animal. But these extra qualities may also prove a scourge and makes ones life extremely miserable. . Prithvipal alias Bade Bhayyas sister Indira was a talented musician and by effect of her music, the moon appeared and the world became all the more pleasent. . Narkasur attracted by her melodious voice asked her hand in marriage but her brother turned down his wish and fought with him and he failed He then proceeded to cave to achieve magical powers to defeat narkasur The elder sister became th queen of Narkasur and an easy tool in his hands. Narkasur wanted to be immortal by human sacrifice and therefore he forced Indira to sing and dance by which the tides arose in the sea and the moon appeared and the ships sank with innocent human beings. . But one fullmoon night it so happened that Mohan and Bhola were miraculously saved from the ship and they entered the place of Indira and Pratima escapeing from the sight of the sentries. Mohan and Indira fell in love at the first sight. The queen stood in their way and employed ways and means ot defeat all the attempts of these lovers to unite together. Queen got Mohan arrested and put him in prison and tourned him. . Chandika the police chief also arrested Bhola and pressed him to marry her, but on his refusal she made him a dog with her magical powers. With the help of Indira Bhola regained his human form Bhola being also a magician turned Chandika in to a monkey and made her dance in the street. In order to win the love of Mohan the Queen transformed herse- lf into Indira by her magical powers. But the motive was foiled due to Pratimas timely revelation of this secret. The very fact made queen feel insulted and she goaded narkasur to fight with Mohan. This resul- ted in killing of Narkasur and Bade Bhayya came on the scene with all his magical powers to burn queen.
