Srikanta and Sukanta are brothers. The zamindar dies leaving a will that Sukanta will get his portion only when he corrects his coarse life style. Sukanta strives to kill Srikanta. He possesses a hidden wish to exploit and rape Padma, Srikanta’s wife. Ranima, in spite of knowing everything, arranges a marriage between Roma and Srikanta.
