Prithibir Shesh Station 1993

Prithibir Shesh Station is a 1993 Indian Bengali drama,romance film released on 1993. The film is directed by Lalit Mukhopadhyay.

An engrossing thriller over the murder of Biswanath Babu. Dorothi Jayati Sanyal, a Bengali Christian belle resides with her parents and a brother in a small town. They are Christians and they are very poor. Jayati loves Samaresh. As they were Hindu and rich and as Jayati's father was an alcholholic problems arise regarding Samaresh and Jayati's marriage. Samaresh's father comes to know about his son's infatuation and he transfered Samaresh to Kolkata overnight. After Samaresh's departure ill omen pours down over Samaresh's family. Her mother was diagonised by cancer. Her father after knocking at every door ultimately tries to break up his office cash box. He was caught and was arrested. Meanwhile the family succumbs to dire straits after Maheswar's departure. Jayati's mother needed an immediate operation but constraints of money prevented her from any aid and ultimately she dies on the roads of Kolkata. Mean while Maheswar commited suicide in the jail from despair and frustration. Jayati then keeps her little orphan brothers in an orphanage of Biswanath. Then Jayati finds that her brothers have dissappeared from Biswanath Babu's orphan centre. Jayoti goes mad, misunderstands Biswanath babu and shoots him thrice. from a point blank range. She was arrested and after a gap of years as a singer turned reporter Samaresh comes face to face with Jayati. Samaresh is accompained by Suchitra. His closest friend Suchrita loves Samaresh but her love is the love of sacrifice and humanity. She accompanies Samaresh in every nook and corner to give justice to Jayati. Ultimately Jayati's brother is found and the stealth activity which was carried by the real villains gets exposed by the hardcore investigation carried out by Samaresh, Suchira and their inspector friend Tapas. In the end the anti socials get caught and Jayati is given the mild punishment of 6months imprissionment with out fine and work. The movie ends positively as Samaresh's fight for love becomes victorious and Suchitra's fight for the love and justice recieves positive recognition too. The love birds Samaresh and Jayati reunite ultimately.
