Pyaar Vali Love Story 2014

Punctured love story! Perfect direction and perfect characters is what makes the movie a grand success. But here, the movie starts on a very promising note. Love and Hindu Muslim riot is what the movie talks about. The movie is dated back in the period of 90s. The story starts with ‘Saiee’ aka ‘Aaliya’ introduction. She lives in Mumbai and she loves her place. Her brother is Uplendra who is the best friend of Sameer. Both of them are the so-called ‘friends forever’. Sameer is in love with Urmila. She lives in the same ‘chaal’. The chaal members celebrate Urmila’s and Sameer’s wedding. Then in the picture, there comes Sameer’s younger brother ‘Swapnil’ aka ‘Amar’ who on seeing Aaliya for the first time itself falls in love with her. Aaliya too starts seeing him and too falls in love with her. But due to Mumbai being a victim of riots between Hindu and Muslim, there establishes cracks in the relations of these two families. As soon as both the families come to know about Amar’s love for Aaliya, Aaliya’s family arranges wedding for her with a police officer. But, on her wedding day, the groom is killed in the Hindu Muslim riot. This gives her the chance to go with Amar and leave her place. They decide to take shelter in a place where the neighbors decide to get them married. But, destiny has something else preserved in its shell and their families come to know about them. The end is very different. Instead of audiences expecting these two getting united, both of them are killed in the end and it leaves you speechless. The film’s director should have tried something different in its execution. If you have started a movie on a promising note, then surely you should try giving it a good end. The makers of ‘Duniyadaari’ have shelled this movie. If you have watched ‘Duniyadaari’, then surely your expectations with the film also go too high. What draw your attention to the film’s screen are those beautifully composed songs and the narrations. The dialogues ‘Arre aao na fir’, ‘Stupid’ and many other taglines keeps you wooing till the end. The film’s excellent cinematography and screenplay gives enough fodder to the film. But somewhere, the Hindu-Muslim riots and conflicts leaves you disappointing. If you are the fans of Saiee’s and Swapnil’s chemistry, then surely this movie is a must watch one. The dress designers have worked really hard in giving Swapnil that Anil Kapoor’s look. Saiee’s vibrant ‘white dress’ with long black shoes and a villain in her hands takes you to another world. Urmila Kanetkar’s non-stop ‘offensive galliyas’ will leave you dumbstruck. She has excelled in her work whereas; Sameer and Upendra’s characters too have added oil in the lamps. If you are watching this film as a love story, then this film will work for you, but if for the entertainment purposes, then this is surely not what you are looking for. The script is good in the first half, but it is weak in the second half because of the ‘not so happening’ ending. This movie also reminds you of few scenes taken from DDLJ, Isaqzaade or Veer-Zaara. A different visual technique has been used in the song ‘Zara zara’, which makes it flashy and eye catching. After watching Sanjay Jadhav’s ‘Duniyadaari’you’ll surely expect something from it, but somewhere that no happy ending tag will leave you shattered and torn out.
