Qayamat 2003

Qayamat is a 2003 Indian Bollywood romance, thriller, action film released on Jul 11, 2003. The film is directed by Harry Baweja, produced by Pammi Baweja.

Ali Ramani (Arbaaz Khan) and Abbas Ramani (Sanjay Kapoor) are two arm dealers. They work for Pakistan ISI along with their girl friend Laila (Isha Koppikar). They held 230 tourists as hostage on Elphinstone jail Resort. They have planned a dangerous mission of poisoning all drinking water resources of Mumbai with help of a scientists Gopal (Chunkey Pandey). Gopal had prepared a virus for the same and they blackmail Chief Minister that if he doesn't give them millions of rupees and an assured escape route from India they will fire the virus through missile all over lakes of Mumbai. CM appoints CBI Officer Aakram Shaikh (Sunil Shetty) to capture the three terrorists. Aakram seeks help from an ex-terrorist Rachit (Ajay Devgan) who is currently in jail. Government allows Aakram to take his help as he is the former team member of Ramani brother's and also had managed to escape from the Elphistone jail earlier, the only one to do so in the history of this jail. He has a romantic past too. The memories of his love Sapna (Neha Dhupia - debut) makes him violent. Rest of the story is how Aakram, Rachit and a team of commandos with Rahul (Aahish Chaudhary) beat the baddies and save Mumbai with Hollywood style action scenes.

Akram Sheikh (Suneil Shetty) is a CBI Officer, who is in search of two major and infamous arm dealers Ali (Arbaaz Khan ) and Abbas (Sanjay Kapoor) and their girlfriend Laila (Issha Koppikar). Ali and Abbas are said to be backed by Pakistani powers in all their dealings, and have hence managed to escape the law till now. Their next aim to steal a deadly virus through which they can destroy an entire city, for which they take help from an immoral scientist Gopal (Chunky Pandey). They also kidnap a few tourists in Elphinstone Jail and keep them as hostage, to get their wishes granted. They threaten to destroy the entire Mumbai city if their wishes are not granted. Seeing no other way, Sheikh decides to take help from Rachit (Ajay Devgan), who once upon a time worked with Ali and Abbas, but is now a prisoner. Rachit is also the only man who ever escaped from that jail. Soon, Sheikh with Rachit and his commando team leave for Elphinstone jail to rescue the tourists and capture Ali and Abbas. Will Sheikh succeed in his mission? Will Rachit start a new life after this mission?
