Rang Milanti is a 2011 Indian Bengali comedy, drama, romance film released on Sep 09, 2011. The film is directed by Koushik Ganguly, produced by Deepten Das.

Rang Milanti explores today’s youngsters constant quest for happiness. Here the search is among four young boys from four different backgrounds and one girl. The parameters of their relationships change as they grow up. One fine day, they discover that their feelings towards Kamalika are deeper than friendship. For Kamalika too, the choice is precarious because she loves them all in different ways though and here is where the fun and the questions begin.

There are two stories within one running parallel along two different lines. One is centered around these five youngsters while the other is focussed on Kamalini, a popular actress of Bengali cinema and her relationship with her husband Deepjoy, who has failed as an actor. Churni plays Kamalini while Saswata Chatterjee is her husband. There is a third track –– a young foreign girl who is stranded in the city with a small baby –– she is an unwed mother. The two parallel stories zero in on the third for an interesting and humane climax.

Rang Milanti is actually about young people. The film is about four central characters –Rik(Gourabh Chakrabarty), a software engineer, Tito(Indrasish),a very passionate filmmaker who aims to make it big as a director, Laden(Tanaji Dasgupta) who is a skilled craftsman and economically challenged (lives at Mullickbazar) and last of all DJ(Gourabh Chatterjee) who is actually a DJ at a night club. All of them are very close to Kamalika, a close friend of theirs and have a soft spot for her. She is aware of this and decides to play a game to choose her life partner among them. This game is played over several rounds with the help of a certain Mr.Ghatak who helps Kamalika to find the ace in the pack of four!

The doctor is no one but himself only in disguise. He helps by asking her to test 4 of his friends in 10 various situations how they react. Based on that she has to play a game of cards where she has to mark them. The person who gets maximum points in all 10 rounds will be the winner and she can marry that person. She agrees and shares the same with her sister. She starts playing the game but discovers at the end that if she plays an additional extra round the results are changing. She gets angry with the doctor and marries the person whom she loves most and realizes that we can not get every good virtue in same person. People differs, whatever good things we get inside our beloved people, we have to be happy with it. Her sister also realizes the same and comes back to her husband.
