Razia Sultan is a 1983 Indian Bollywood drama, costume film released on Sep 16, 1983. The film is directed by Kamal Amrohi, produced by Surendra , music composed by Khayyam.
This is the story about Razia Sultan. Being the girl of Sultan dynasty, her father Sultan wants her daughter to be emperor of their kingdom. Sultan’s brother is forced to the punishment by her father who considers that her brother has done a crime and he punishes him severely all against the wishes of his mother. Now, Sultan gets aging and wants someone to get his thrown continued. So, he shows his desire that Razia showed be the emperor and wants her to rule his Kingdom. But, other emperors are not happy with this decision and consider that a woman cannot rule the entire dynasty. But, against all the odds and social norms, Razia captures the throne and starts ruling the kingdom. But after years, the people in the villagers come to know Razia is in love with a dark skinned man named as Yakoot and he is the son of her slave.
