Ramesh and Seema's parents were killed by Jagmohan Jugral (Anupam Kher) and this transported them into an orphanage. Ramesh and Seema grow up to take revenge from Jugral.

Jagmohanlal is a diamond smuggler (Anupam Kher). A customer officer (Dilip Tahil) starts suspecting him and pursues him. Jagmohanlal kills the customs officer as well as a doctor. His son Ramesh (Anil Kapoor) grows up, and meets Seema (Sridevi). Seema is in search of the diamond smuggler who killed her father, and is a thief as well. Ramesh is trained to be a jewel thief called Romeo who specialises in breaking safes. Ramesh has a key to the lock which is with his lost CID officer brother Ravi Verma (Jacki Shroff) Seema and Romeo try to outdo each other in all the jewel robberies. Once Seema steals a diamond necklace but Romeo takes it away. Seema is not given any share in the booty. So she helps Jugral to get Romeo is return for the name of the killer of her father. Jugral kills his honest twin brother Manohardal and takes the place of Manmohanlal in public while continues with his smuggling practice as Jagmohanlal. Jugral wants to steal some diamonds but is unable to get Romeo to help him. When Romeo comes to know that Seema is realy Simi, his childhood friend, he agrees to meet Jugral and steal the diamonds he wants. A train carrying a safe with the diamonds halts at a particular sport for a short while. Romeo breaks open the safe and steals the diamonds, hanging from a Parachute. Girdharilal (Paresh Rawal) informs the police. Ramesh comes to know that Ravi is his lost brother when he sees the lock in the police station. Johny Lever entertains by acting like Dharmendra and Ashok Kumar.Ravi then probes about the identity of Jugral. Jugral then reveals his identity to Seema and Ramesh and intends to kill them. Are Seema and Ramesh able to escape? Will they expose Jugral?
