Saajan 1991

Saajan is a 1991 Indian Bollywood romance film released on Dec 20, 1991. The film is directed by Lawrence D'Souza, produced by Sudhakar K. Bokade.
The story starts with Aman who is a handicapped orphan. He is helped by his friend named as Akash Verma (played by Salman Khan) and he lives with his family. He get’s grown up with Akash and now, he is one of their family members. Both, Akash and Amar lives peacefully. Akash is said to be a womanizer, whereas, Amar enjoys writing poems under the name of Sagar. The poems get published and now Sagar is well known and is famous. One day, Pooja Saxena (played by Madhuri Dixit) meets with Akash and since that day, Akash falls in love with her, even Aman loves her. Now, when he comes to know that Akash likes Pooja, he tells him that he could take his identity as Sagar. Seeing this, Pooja gets to know this and she falls in love with Akash. But, one day Akash comes to know that Aman is Sagar who was writing the poems and he loved Pooja, so he gives his love to Aman and they live happily ever after.

Akash and Aman are like brothers. Aman loves writing peoms and his poems are really famous. But he writes poems in the name of Sagar. He finds a die-hard fan in Pooja Saxena who wants to meet Sagar. Aman tells Akash to met her as Sagar as he himself is handicap.

Aman (Sanjay Dutt) is a poor, handicapped orphan. He is befriended by wealthy Akash Verma (Salman Khan) during his childhood. Akash's parents adopt him and give him their family name, and Akash and Aman grew up as brothers. While Akash is a womanizer, Aman takes to writing poems under the pen name Sagar. The poems get published, and Aman becomes very popular. One of his fans is a young woman by the name of Pooja Saxena (Madhuri Dixit), who corresponds with Sagar. Akash meets Pooja and falls head over heels in love with her. When Aman comes to know this, he asks Akash to pose as Sagar, which he does, and Pooja and Akash fall in love with each other. A heartbroken Aman looks on, as he knows that although women may like his poetry, they will never come out openly and love him when they see his handicap. At the end, Akash discovers that Aman is actually Sagar and loves Pooja, so he decides to sacrifice his love for Aman.
