Samay - When Time Strikes is a 2003 Indian Bollywood thriller, suspense film released on Oct 10, 2003. The film is directed by Robby Grewal, produced by Arunima Roy under banner named Idream Production Pvt. Ltd.

ACP Malvika Chauhan(Sushmita Sen) is the best police officer. She gets a case where a man is killed in an odd manner. She finds no clues except that two pictures in the wall are interchanged. Then another actress is killed and there also no clues are left behind. She tries to link both the cases. She finds out that the man was killed by ice knife and the actress was strangulated. A person takes her photograph and she catches him who leads her to a contract killer. She reaches the killer's house only to find that he is also killed again in an odd manner. She tries to link all 3 cases and finds out that something is related to time. All three have taken place in an odd manner as per the time. They were killed one at 12, another at 3 and the last one at 6. She comes to a conclusion that the killer's next target would be at 9. She finds out that all three had less eyesight and bought spectacles from R.K. Opticals. There she comes to know that Amod Parekh (Jackie Shroff) is a common visitor on all the days the victims were killed. She gets the next target who is a musician's name with same eyesight common in all of them. She goes to his place to save him but Amod doesn't come. He comes later and tells that his last target was Anjali Malvika's daughter whom he killed. He did all these murders to prove that he was better than Malvika though he had poor vision.
