Sasural is a 1984 Indian Bollywood drama film released on 1984. The film is directed by Govind Moonis, produced by Biswanath Prasad Shahabadi , music composed by Ravindra Jain.
Chanda had never known her parents. She had never experienced a mothers love and care, nor the joys of a happy family. All she had ever received was ill-treatment at the hands of her aunt, whcich she bore silently and stocially, feeling grateful for being allowed a subssistence. . When Chanda met Narendra, for the first time she experienced sympathy, love, a sense of belonging, a feeling of being wanted. When she got married to Narendra, Chanda went to house which was haven of love, affection and happiness, a home beyond her widest dreams. But aunt Jagdamba could not bear to see Chanda so happy and content. She regretted not beingable to marry her own daughter. Deepa into such a house. And her envy and jealously led her to tell Chanda that her-Chandas- mother had died of the terrible disease of leprosy, and that Chanda must be definitely harbouring this disease, which she should pass on to her children.
