  I personally enjoyed the movie a lot..... We may say that this is a hollywood class story and direction (lack of Proficiency). After seeing the hits and indian audience choice, this movie would be bit difficult to digest... Any ways Nice attempt..........

  The title sounds good! Three superstars all under one roof “Shamitabh”. This week’s director R Balki’s release is Shamitabh. The movie has many stories wrapped under the same base. The director tried his best to show different sights of the stories, but somewhere he failed to put up all in one. After the release of the trailer, I was very eager to find out what this movie is all about. The story starts with Daanish (speechless), who is a struggling actor and who dreams to become an actor. After the death of his mother, he is left all alone and goes to Mumbai to pursue his dreams. There he meets with Akshara who sees the true potential in him and decides to help him. So, Akshara inserts a device in Daanish’s throat and he then starts recording the voice of the person who is speaking to him with the help of lip synchronisation. It is then he meets with drunkard Amitabh Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan). From here starts Daanish’s journey to become Shamitabh, a superstar for a night. Due to this behavior, Amitabh is jealous. Due to which there are conflicts between the two and they decide to split. It is Akshara, who makes them realise that these two cannot be successful without helping each other. It is after this the reporter realizes that Daanish is actually a mute man and Amitabh is helping him through voice synchronization process. Talking about the performances, Amitabh is the same. I mean, every time you visit the theaters for his performances, you get to know that he excels in his fan following after doing so many films. Even at the age of 71, you still can’t miss his presence of the screen. Dhanush was applauded for his acting in Raanjhanna, but if you see him in this movie, then you’ll surely get to know the real caliber of him. You are totally left with his aromatic charm on the screen. Akshara matched the two equally by playing the mediator between Amitabh and Dhanush. Balki’s direction is speechless, but somewhere if it is his direction, I expected something more. His direction in the movies ‘Chinni Kum’ and ‘Paa’ stole hearts of millions or may be even zillions. Actually what left me detested was the film’s climax. I mean why the director ended the film on a very different note. As an audience you‘ll be engaged with the story, but only the film’s climax will leave you broken. Talking about the voice acts, Dhanush was very perfect in making the lip synchronization with Amitabh’s voice. This film was very entertaining and had a very clean storyline, which is nowadays missing in the bollywood movies. If you are Dhanush’s fan and Amitabh’s fan then surely this movie isn’t about avoiding. You should give it a try. Akshar’s debut was very impressive. She is good to watch. The film’s music is lighter and entertaining. It’s an unusual story, say a never seen before types. The film’s cinematography is good. You’ll be entertained with the dialogues narrated by all the three starts.

  Great movie.Dhanush and Amitabh Bachchan both are brilliant. Shamitabh has unique storyline which may not appeal masses. But it's quite entertaining.
