Shanghai 2012

Shanghai is a 2012 Indian Bollywood romance, thriller film released on Jun 08, 2012. The film is directed by Dibakar Banerjee, produced by Ajay Bijli under banner named PVR Pictures.

The story of Shanghai has a bright and different story. This story is of a country where high-rise business parks are backed by the capitalists who are replacing the housing colonies for the economically weak states. The entire country is run by the bankrupt people. The story shows how the corrupted people are involved in each and every scam in the country. The people are continuously cheated by the corrupted officials.

The character of (Emraan Hashmi) is of a videographer, who shoots porn, a Tamil IAS officer who seeks on taking a lucrative foreign assignment for closing the case of (Abhay Deol) and a social activist who is professor by profession with a weakness of falling in love with his students (Prosenjit Chatterjee). The support cast is also very amazing. Pitobash, Farooque Shaikh making a comeback and Kalki Koechlin fits perfectly to their respective roles. The visuals those are set for the movie depicts the entire story for the movie. The story has many ups and downs to tell the viewer’s graphically. There are the stray elements of chaos that creep into the perfect frame to make viewers aware of the situations they are cheated and exploited. There are sequences that depict the ultimate story of the movie. The movie has got a very different and a strong concept where, we come across films that deal with the present scenarios of our country.
