Sher Khan 1998

Sher Khan is a 1998 Indian Bollywood action film released on Jan 01, 1998. The film is directed by Ambrish Sanghal, produced by Rajesh Singh.
Sher Khan was an upright, God-fearing and brave Pathan Youth who lived in the city of Gulpham with his mother Fairda. It was during those harrowing days when notorious decoit, Ajab Khan, was plundering the country side with the help of his marauding gang. The people of Gulph- am were so sfraid of him that mere mention of his name sent a cold chil down to their spines. But the brave Sher Khan undertook to bring him to book. His mother Farida was aggrieved to hear of her sons pledge but she didnt let her feelings appear on her countenance and she bid farewel to her son in a spirit that encouraged Sher Khan in his mission. She also presented Sher Khan the dagger which has remained with the family for many generations and which protected the possesser from evils. . During Sher Khans itenerary, he came across the leader of a gang of gypsies and they soon became freieds. He even accepted his invitaion and it was there where he met Shama, the beaugiful daughter of the leader. He fell head-over heels in love with her but the call of duty reminded him of his mission which was still unfinished. He started in quest of Ajab Khan. . On his way, he rescued Meena, a Rajput girl from the clutches of decots. Sher Khan was himself wounded in the fight but just the same offered to take her to her father Thakur Ranjit Singh. Meena was so obliged that she called him her brother and he too accepted her as his sister. When Thakur learnt of this deed of chivalry at the cost of his own life, he insisted on his staying for sometime till his wounds were cured. When Ajab Khan learnt of this, he sent a note of warning to the Thakur to hand him over to him as he was his enemy. Thakur who had given shelter to Sher Khan, refused to oblige. Ajab Khan attacked the bastion of the Thakur and killed his son. That was the price he paid for degying Ajab Khan. . When Sher Khan leartn of Thkurs sacrifice, he came face to face with Ajab Khan and was captured by him. Ajab Khan ordered his men to make him bling and cut his tongue and throw him on the rocks. He then star- ted off for Gulpham where his wife, Farida had been waiting for twenty long years. .
