Shesh Ashray 2001

Shesh Ashray is a 2001 Indian Bengali drama film released on 2001. The film is directed by Ajit Ganguly, produced by Tushar Kanti Jana.

Aboni Dutta is a rich businesman. His wife Anupoma Dutta in a kind hearted lady. Aboni has two sons and one daughter named Anil,Sunil and Ananya. Ananya falls in love with Ashok Roy a brave and honest journalist. Aboni Dutta rufuses to accept Ashok,finally Ananya marries Ashok. Aboni did not accept that in his son-in law and he ends his relation with his daughter Ananya. Aboni falls ill and so he distributes all his wealth among his two sons thus depriving his daughter from his proprety. Ananya and Ashok though very poor, lead a happy life. Finally Aboni died, Anupoma, his widow, was sent to Anil's house, where she faces exrtreme hardship and neglect. Her daughter in law Tamarha did not show any respect towords her mother in-law. Finally false allegation of robbery is brought against Anupama. It was then that Anupoma's youngest son Sunil brings his mother to his own house. Sunil respcets his mother,but he falls prey to the conspiracy hatched by his wife and his mother in law. They torture Anupoma and finally she is thrown out of the house. It was than Ananya finds her mother who was very ill. She and her husband fights with poverty but cures Anupoma Devi. It was then that her two son realise their mistakes. So finally they repent for their evil acts in the past. They came to their mother and asks her to forgive them and they also want to take their mother along with themselves. But Anupoma Devi refuses to with them and she decides to stay with Ananya and Ashok,who have done so much for her.
