Atasi Debi controls everything in the Mukherjee family. Her three sons Subha, Samu and Bishnu and her husband Barin babu are very scared about Atasi Debi. Subha is married to Anu. Anu's sister Raima comes to Mukherjee family during the Durga Pujas. Raima is a doctor. She fell in love with Subha's younger brother Samu, who is a computer engineer. But Atasi Debi did not like the attitude of Raima. According to her Raima is not suitable for the Mukherjee family. Mukherjee family is a joint family. Samu's uncle Kripanath and Sadhin also live in that family. Suhdin was younger to Barin. During his college days he was arrested by police for a political reason. He was severely beaten at that time by the police. After returning from jail he lost his mental balance. Today the family physician Arunangshu Halder treats him. Arunangshu and his wife had a plan of marrying their daughter Shreeja with Samu. When Shreeja finds that Samu is interested in Raima, she planned to defame Raima. She became successful.
