Story
The movie ‘Sixteen’ is a story about missing purity and teenage sadness in city of India.
Anu - Young, bright, attractive, sensitive, determined. She's nearly a woman now. She has suffered breakups, has flings and desires to be the Miss India. So that she can one day rule the fashion world.
Tanisha- In a hunt of love, retreating at the least notice of an inadequacy. Tanisha is plucky, but more entrenched. Going on a blind date is not an issue with her, but going on a second date definitely is.
Nidhi- Traces of purity and a whole lot of harmony, still in the throes of first love, filled with daydreams, unlike the pessimistic Anu and the practical Tanisha.
Ashwin- is a person, shy and completely absent in self-assurance and Tanisha's fellow student, best friend and hushed lover. Sixteen imprisons the life of these youths, as they go through their affections and miseries, dreams and obliterations in their school, home and the outdoor world. Sixteen is the story of their bond and unsettled way it takes through the rising up years. And also about the grown-ups around them who make, unmake and re-create their world, sometimes cruelly, sometimes prettily.
