Sparshamoni is a 1951 Indian Bengali drama,family film released on 1951. The film is directed by Sudhin Majumdar.

atinath was the favourite nephew of zamindar Rudrakanta. Satinath was the favourite of everybody become of his good nature, but was not favourite of his cousin brother Murarimohan. Satinath was the sole heir of Rudrakanta’s property. So Murarimohan always wanted swpe? to prove Satinath’s fault to Rudrakanta. That swpe ?come one day when he saw Satinath talking to the neighbour college girl. She was Kalyani. Murarimohan said many lies and little truth about Kalyani and Satinath to Rudrakanta and assured him he would separate them if properly rewarded. Rudrakanta also wanted that. Rudrakanta wouldn’t allow Satinath to marry his chosen girl. So Murarimohon started aconspiracy. Satinath had to go to a distant village for an urgent need. Murarimohon reported to Kalyani that Satinath had gone to a distant village to marry. At the same time he sent a was ? to satinath that kalyani already had been married to a civilian. Satinath decided to marry the girl who was once referred by his friend Manju Bhusan. Hearing about Satinath’s marriage, Kalyani was very hurt. She and her mother had come to their spiritual perceptor. It was the occasion of his grand daughter Uma’s marriage. Uma’s elder sister Annapurna requested Kalyani to decorate the marriage – mandap, groom’s seat etc. While Kalyani was decorating, he found Satinath as the groom. Kalyani silently left the place. Rudrakanta didn’t approve of this marriage. But Rudrakanta’s sister had already liked Uma. When she went to call Satinath,Satinath was not there. In the mean time when Murarimohon realised that Satinath was going to be happy marrying Uma, he told the truth to him. Murari said Kalyani was not married and she was awaiting only for him. Hearing this, Satinath left the nearly wed wife. Insprite of his aunt’s request, he didn’t come to his wife. The next day he went out for country tour. Kalyani was suffering from tubercolosis. She has learnt from Murari that Satinath didn’t become happy marrying Uma, even Satinath was not staying with his wife. Kalyani’s only wish from her death bed was to let Satinath be happy and make Uma’s life also happy.
