Story
Talash is a 1969 Indian Bollywood romance,musical,family drama film released on Jan 01, 1969. The film is directed by O P Rahlan, produced by O P Rahlan under banner named Ralhan Prod. It is given to everyone to dream, to aim for something high in life, to achieve ones cherished ambition. In fact, man spends a lifes span in his search for love and happiness.... . Raj Kumar, young, handsome and talented, with a first-class B.A. degree to his credit, made possible by the hard labour of his dear mother, faces life with the same avowed purpose, viz. to reach the top of the world, and amass fame and fortune. His guidding principle in life is his unlettered mothers advice never to do anything which his conscience does not permit, no matter how much his heart and mind are set on it. . Full of zest and hope, Raj kumar enters the fray of life soon to be dicillusioned. Warned for slackness and mistakes in his typists job, he falls into a pit of despair. But advised by his frend Lachhu he takes heart again and begins to work hard Spotted by his employer as a hard-working, honest man of talent and ambition he is rewarded with rapid promotions. Secretly Seth Ranjit Rai cherishes the fond hope that Raj Kumar may turn out a worthy suitor for his only daughters hand and successor to his fabulous business empire. . Not knowing what is in stor for him, Raj Kumar during a short holiday in the hills, loses his heart to a beautiful village girl, Gauri. He vows to marry the girl a year hence when he promises to return with his mother whom he worships. . Back at his office, further promotios await him, first as the firms manager, then as a junior partner. And just as he is beginning to enjoy the fruits of his new bounty, out of the blue comes a thunderb- olt! And the Seth makes no secret of the fact that he would welcome a match between his daughter and Raj kumar. From then on peace deserts Raj Kumar Madhu is splendorous ravishing, intensley desirable. marriage to her would bring to his feet the grand material world of ruches beyond his wildest dreams. But it would mean breaking his sacred pledge to Gauri, an act against the dictates of his conscience. But Madhu pursues him so relentlessly, tempting him with her relentlessly, tempting him with her lusciouness and beauty, that man as he is, for an instant he falls! And even as he falls, he remembers his mothers words....But it is too late...for in that moment he loses a fargeater jewel than all the riches of the world and not all his repentence can bring his mother back to life! . When Raj Kumar is himself again, he reflects. Material success and rich rewards of Madhus love on one side, on the other Gauri so full of love and to whom he has pledged his troth. If he turns to Madhu Gauri will hurtle herself to death. If he spurns Madhu and all the favours and kindnesses of his benefactor, Seth Ranjits only daughter too would not live.
