New Year Eve....1963...Exactly at 12 midnight a girl is murdered.... Investigations reach no where... . New Year Eve....1964...Celebrations are in progress. A few familiar faces are seen watching the proceedings. Here enters a young boy who is known by the name of Ramesh. He meets a girl who introduces herslef as Rita. It seems she knows everything about him. She is in an unconv- entional costume and is hivering in cold while they are together on the floor. Ramesh gives her his coat. Rita goes to "Toilet" and does not return. How? It is possible? He saw her entering the "Toilet" with his own eyes and has waited patienty. He is shocked.... . Ramesh goes to the address given by Rita and finds out that she had died a year ago....exactly on the same day last year....It is difficu- lt to digest for Ramesh.... Then who was the girl who was dancing with him and whom he had given his coat? While Ramesh is upset Neelma, daughter of Captain Singh, takes him for an outing where also he sees Rita standing at the hill-top. He rushes to her but does not find her. . Ramesh is on his bed and is thinking of the mysterious things which have been happening with him. And suddenly he finds out that Ritair standing here too.... All alive....He threatens to murder her if she does not tell him the fact - He moves forward to strangle her and finds out that it was only a statue which his uncle had purchased from "Modern Arts". He reaches there and meets Rita who blankly and boldly tells him that she is not Rita. . Ramesh goes to Ritas mother and challenges her that she is a liar On hearing this she takes him to the grave yard and sheows him Ritas grave is lying the coat.
