Story
The story starts with Mahesh Deshmukh (played by Anil Kapoor) who has been associated with the nation's armed forces so that he can sincerely serve the India. While he was in his college days, he used to like a girl named as Mohini (Madhuri Dixit). One day, he gets attracted to her and even she has the same feelings. But, every story has interference. Mohini's father (played by Anupam Kher) is a drug addict and wishes that Mohini takes up dancing and prostitution so that he can get his daily favor of alcohol. Mohini tries everything to live with Mahesh, but, circumstances tangle Mahesh to such a place that he is arrested and sentenced to stay away from Bombay city limits. When Mahesh arrives back, it is no longer the sincere, and an honest Mahesh, but a criminal named as Munna, who has many things to take back.
