The Dark Knight 2008

The Dark Knight is a 2008 Hollywood action,drama film released on 2008. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan, produced by Emma Thomas.

The story is set within a year after the events of Batman Begins. After taking out Ra's Al Ghul's plan and the mysterious disappearance of Dr. Jonathan Crane AKA Scarecrow (Cilian Murphy), Batman / Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) continues his seemingly-endless effort to bring justice to Gotham's crime and corrupt. With the help of Lt. James Gordon (Gary Oldman) and new appointed District Attorney Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), Batman raises the stakes in his war on crime. The partnership proves to be effective, but this time, The Dark Knight faces a mysterious, sadistic and psychopathic criminal mastermind rising known as The Joker (Heath Ledger), whose eerie grin makes him more dangerous than what he has yet to unleash. Batman's struggle against the Joker becomes deeply personal and it becomes an agenda to both enemies that only one of them remains and are willing to break every part of what they believe in to stop the other. A love triangle develops between Bruce Wayne, Dent and Rachel Dawes (Maggie Gyllenhaal).

'Madness is like gravity , all you need is a little push' . Who would think like that ? Would you be able to identify with someone who thinks like that ? All of us have seen the distint lines between white and black , how many of us understand grey ? Yes , grey matter .
The movie distinctly blends all conventional ideologies , imagine Batman using your phone to spy on the city to find someone . Maybe for a noble cause , spying none the less . Imagine the Joker blowing up a whole hospital , when he was inside and taking to someone , when he knew most certainly no one was around . A building blown up , no one died . Imagine the 'District Attorney of Gotham City' thirsty for the blood of the Commisoner's family in cold revenge .The movie gives its viewers enough space to think , enough evidence to build up their own heroes and villains , enough sand to build their own castles . The attraction however like most Batman movies is the villain, the Joker . The characterization brings out the pathos in the villain , citing different reasons to different people for the 'smile' on his face .

The dialogues , the screenplay , the backdrop, the canvas , all play a part in the movie , all breathing life in complete unision . See it to feel the totality of the theme .
