Story
The Hangman, castin globally much-admired artist Om Puri (East is East, Jewel in the Crown, City of Joy and Gandhi), is a movie about a story where one man's mission to reach improvement. Puri, who gives a convincing presentation as the old and weary killer Shiva, has been enforced into his forefathers' occupation.
Shiva's irresistible wish is to make a healthier life for his lad Ganesh (Shreyas Talpade). Shiva pursues help from his buddy, the lockup jailor (Gulshan Grover). Ganesh is occupied to the urban under the guard's protection where he chases his dad’s final wish of becoming a law enforcement officer, but the sequences of ill-destined actions consequence in a surprising disaster. Grounded in a culture occupied of ancient duties and customs, this affecting story shadows Shiva as he fights amid the commands of his occupation and his wish to attain redemption and contentment.
