Let's just cut the fang (read vampire) and fuzzy hair (read werewolf) business and ie rweqget down to the essence of Eclipse: Team Edward or Team Jacob, so who's side are you on? Of course, that's the big question that is posed before Bella (Kristen Stewart) in Eclipse and forms the dramatic core of the film. But even before our girl-next-door can decide whether she wants to end up as the undead Mrs Cullen

The beginning of Eclipse, the third episode of The Twilight Saga, finds Bella and Edward (Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, of course) cuddling passionately — though chastely, of course — in a meadow full of wildflowers. The day is just sunny enough to bring out the frosty sparkle in Edward’s skin, but not bright enough to kill either him or the brooding, minor-key mood. Bella is reciting Robert Frost’s poem Fire and Ice

It's like the ultimate girl fantasy -- two gorgeous boys warring for her affections while she gets to be in love with both. Guilt-free, no less. The only real dilemma posed before her is to pick between the chiseled good looks of pretty vampire Edward Cullen

The story of a sleepy-eyed teenage girl Bella spoilt for choice with a six-pack werewolf Jacob and an all-too-pale glittering vampire Edward vying for her affection, is old hat. Perenially in trouble, Bella this time finds herself on the run from Victoria (Bryce Dallas Howard), an avenging bloodsucker who raises an army of newborn vampires to do her bidding.

Eclipse is the third installment from the Twilight franchise. Now the movie has played legend to many youngsters across the globe. So much so that it has got vampires back into fashion all of a sudden making them most appealing and enamoring. But if only that could take the movie through. I feel there is some sort of jinx to third installments. The third ones seem quite eclipsed literally. Think about it, remember what happened to Shrek

Close on the heels of New Moon — the follow-up to the 2008 sleeper hit Twilight — comes the third film installment based on the teen-titillating novels by Stephenie Meyer. It may be more action-packed than the earlier editions, but otherwise Eclipse remains true to the mushy tone of the source material. Obviously aimed at an adolescent female fan base, the plot once again revolves around the melancholic undergraduate, Bella (Stewart).

The good news is that The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is a considerably less frustrating film than New Moon. The bad news is that we've reached the third film in the series, and the leads still haven't learnt how to act. Nothing much has changed since we last saw them on screen. Eternally conflicted Bella Swan (played by Kristen Stewart) must choose between her pasty-faced vampire boyfriend Edward Cullen (played by Robert Pattinson)

A new director, David Slade, a bigger budget and better effects, yet this one isn’t even close to compelling. Melissa Rosenberg’s adapted screenplay of Stephenie Meyer’s novel ‘Eclipse,’ charts the same route( and to better effects) that the first in the series did, while it also remains consistently faithful to the pulp best-seller. The central casting and writing credits read the same in all the three installments so far
