Tirangaa is a 1993 Indian Bollywood action film released on Jan 29, 1993. The film is directed by Mehul Kumar, produced by Mehul Kumar.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Rudra Pratap Chauhan is a sincere and diligent family who lives with his companion and boy named as Harish. Since he is on the hit-list of many crooks he never travels alone without a sword. But when crook named as Pralaynath Gendaswamy finds out that Rudra Pratap goes for horse-rides with his boy without any weapons, that's when they plot to kill him - and they are on the top. But, Harish has witnessed this murdering. He wanted to take revenge of his father's death, but he has no evidences where and whom to start looking for. Then after a new year's bash, the police come and knock on the front door of the Chouhan's household, and handcuffs Harish for raping and beating a lady named Radha Tandon, who is the girl of Jeevanlal who is the Central Minister in the Government, who is also the sweetheart of Arjun, the only boy of Gendaswamy. Then, the story unfolds many hidden secrets and creates an over lasting impression in the minds of all the viewers.

"Tirangaa" is the story of love, war & patriolism in which todays india is shown in its true colours. Pralaynath gunda swamy (deepak shirke) is a foreign agent who sown the seeds of terrorism through out the country. He wants a total destruction of the country followed by a foreign rule. The people who support his evil intensions are same corrupt minister and police officers. Any one who dares to raise his voice against them is auto-matically silenced. After failing in all their efforts to stop this terror, the government apoints a brave and couragious military officer, brigadiar surya dev singh (raaj kumar) to complete this mission. An equally brave & honest police officer shivaji rao wagle (nana patekar) join hands with suryadev singh to complete this mission. Together they attack and destroy pralaynath's evil empire but they are unaware of pralaynath's ultimate weapon. The weapon that can destroy our entire mother land. What is this weapon? Will pralaynath be ducced in his evil intensions ? Can suryadev singh and shivaji rao wagle save the country from this ultimate digester? Will the glory & splendour of tiranga be upheld? The answer to all these questions is "tirangaa"
