The Inspector at the check-post is surprised. A police officer from across the border informs him on the telephone that Tiwari smuggled some contraband goods. True, Tiwaris lorry passed the check-post about half an-an-hour ago. But his assistant checked every bail as the lorry entered the Indian territory from Sikkim. . Tiwari is scared when he notices the Police Jeep is chasing. He implores his driver Shamoo to save him but Shamoo curses Tiwari and says-he deserves it. . But ultimately Shamoo is moved by his pleadings. He saves Tiwari but he hates himself for saving him and as he reaches his attic he tries to drown himself in drinks. . When Lamo hears everything, she rushes, to stop Shamoo. She knows how mush Shamoo hates Tiwari for his nefarious activities. He would have left his employment long ago-but.. . Shamoo promised Lamos dying husband that he would take good care to Lamoo and her child. Years have passed and he has always treated Lamo a Tibetian girl- as his own sister and helped her to start her Inn for the Tibetian traders. . And for this every Tibetian holds Shamoo in high esteem and Tiwari reaps the harvest. Every caravan coming to Rongfu Bazar stops at Lamo Inn and sells their wool to Tiwari. . Shamoo was returning that night from Peso after seeing off the Caravan Suddenly the whole woodland reverberates with a loud piecing shriek. Shamoo finds tow ruffians dragging a young girl. They prove no match for him and soon take to their heels. . But took at the girl! She wants Shamoo to take her along Where? To his attic? To Tiwaris den? Nonsense! . But Shanta has no place to go. She is a cooly girl in the tea-plantation. The assistant manager has taken a fancy for her. She has escaped tonight but if she goes back.... . Grudgingly Shamoo gives her shelter for the night. To Shanta this was godsent. She was brought to Peso by Raimohan with the false promise of marriage. He left her and went to Tibet and since then Shanta has come to know what a rascal Raimohan is. Even this evening she received a letter from him-the rascal has the cheek to write her that he will return very soon and take her to Tibet as he cannot live without Shanta knows why he takes girls to Tibet. . Shamoo takes Shanta to his attic and warns ber - "Run away in the morning--we are bad people". And Shanta watches the gratitude that the so-called bad man goes to sleep in the garage asking her to lock the connecting door. . Next morning Shanta gives an impression to Tiwari that she is Shamoos wife. Tiwari believes her but not Pema Dolma the Tibetian girl who runs the tearoom for Tiwari. She is madly in love with Shamoo and her instincts tell her that Shanta is not Shamoos wife. . Shamoo gets furious when he hears this. Is this how Shanta is paying for his kidnaps? Shanta pleads and explains that there was no other alternative for her. . True and Shamoo has to act the role of a husband. Only Lamo knows their secret and she prevails upon Shamoo to marry Shanta and ultimately succeeds. Shamoo goes to talk to Shanta but she was out. The letter of Raimohan folls in his hand. . Goddness! He has no right propose to Shanta. He love her but Shanta apprently loves Raimohan. The only thing left to him now is to find Raimohan and unite the lovers. . That night Shanta waits anxiously for Shamoos return. Lamo has told her that Shamoo wants to marry her. And Shammoo arrives with Raimohan and tells him to make-up with Shanta and lerves them together. Shanta turns Raimohan out. But next morning before Shanta finds an opportunity to explain everything, Shamoo leaves Rongfu Bazar with Prema Dolma little knowing that Raimohan and Tiwari are old friends. They sit and conspire to send Shanta across the border for a big profit. . Lamo hides Shanta but she is no match for Tiwari and Raimohan. Bahadur and Kancha go in search of Shamoo and Pande and Dulu inform the police while the jeep with Tiwari and Raimohan races to the border with thier prize-captive Shanta.
