Waaris 1988

Waaris is a 1988 Indian Bollywood drama, social, offbeat film released on May 06, 1988. The film is directed by Ravindra Peepat, produced by Swam Yog Raj.

The story is started with a very rich, widowed man named as Kishan Singh. He stays in his palatial house with his two boys. These two boys are called as Dulla and Gajjan. He has made a property will that is equally divided amongst each and every member. But this will also mentions that a last land is given to Gajjan only, as he is not at all happy with Dulla. A not so happy Dulla confronts his daddy, a dispute leads to many ups and downs in the entire story, and Kishan is brutally killed. Dulla is then handcuffed, and jailed to 16 years in jail, leaving his 3 boys dependent on Gajjan. Years get passed, Gajjan's only boy named as Shravan, has move up, meets and falls in liking with Paramjeet aka Paro, who is belonging to a very poor family, subsisting of her widowed mom, and a younger sis named as Shibo. His dad approves of Paro and soon both are married to each other. Dulla gets released from the jail and also joins in the celebrations. Barely had the young couple had ended the religious rights, Shravan is murdered, leaving Paro a widow and completely distracting Gajjan. Dulla now wants one of his sons to marry Paro, who will give birth to the new generation, but Gajjan and Paro says no. Dulla declares himself the landlord of the land, as there is no next generation. Paro decides to teach Dulla a thing by getting Gajjan re-marries. But, still there are many questions that remain at the end.
