Waris 1969

Waris is a 1969 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1969. The film is directed by Rammana, produced by Vasu Menon under banner named Vasu Films.

Due to disagreements in the King's household, his wife and son decide to move away from his kingdom. Years later, the King passes away and the palace decides to locate the Prince, so that he can claim his rightful place on the throne. They locate three young men, all claiming to be the prince. The Palace officials put them to the test, and one by one, all of them pass various tests imposed on them, leaving the officials in a quandary, as to who the real prince is between these three young men.

There are three calimants to a throne - the three of them have the same habits and attitudes but are strikingly different in their looks and appearances. . The only son of the ruler of Chandipur was missing from his childhood days. When there is no trace of the prince even after many years of search, the dying maharaja calls three of his most trusted frined to look after his kingdom till the prince is found. He also makes them promise that when they find the Yuvraj, they will handover the throne to him and also fix up his marriage with Geeta, the pretty daughter of the diwan. . After the death of the Maharaj, the newspapers prominently carry the news of his death and three young men soon after appear on the scene claiming the throne, each saying that he is the real prince.
