Yaarana 1995

Yaarana is a 1995 Indian Bollywood suspense thriller, action, romance, musical, costume drama film released on Oct 20, 1995. The film is directed by David Dhawan.

Lalita (played by Madhuri Dixit) is wed under duress from her maternal uncle named Madhi (played by Tej Sapru) to a cruel and jealous man named JB (played by Raj Babbar). He likes Lalita, but keeps her like a sparrow in a cage, hovering over and torturing her. Lalita moves away and enters the lives of Raj (played by Rishi Kapoor), his granddad (played by Kader Khan), and Kaki (played by Dina Pathak). In order to hide her name, she names herself Shikha. Eventually after this, the family grows relationship of Shikha, and Raj and she also fall in madly to her. Raj's granddad plans to wed Shikha off to Raj, when JB shows up and confesses the family about the real name of Shikha, and of her marital identity, which Madhi quickly clubs up. The family is amazed to find out that Shikha has been hiding the truth to them. JB takes back Lalita with him, and Lalita continues to be his dutiful companion for ever. But will Raj leave his Shikha? And did Lalita really mean when she told she would be a dutiful companion to JB?
