Zhakaas 2011

Zhakaas is a 2011 Indian Marathi comedy,drama,romance film released on Dec 30, 2011. The film is directed by Ankush Chaudhari.

Zhakaas stars Ankush Choudhary, Amruta Khanvilkar, Sai Tamhankar, Pooja Sawant, Pushkar Shrotri, Jitendra Joshi amongst others and has been directed by Ankush Choudhary (also the main lead of the film).

Friends do you remember we always as kids have played a game, I specifically mentioned we because everybody has played this game in his life as a Kid………no, as a matured……… no probably everybody.

The game called SNAKES & LADDERS, we played a lot of this game, but have we ever realized that this game was given to us by our parents not only to play but even to learn, learn that snakes are dangerous and ladders are important!!!

Everybody in his mind is constantly thinking of growth, GROWTH an important word and ladder an important weapon to give importance to the word growth?? Yup right. And what better place than MUMBAI……………

I too had come to Mumbai to grow, to work hard and make a life of my own to achieve my goals and to do what I had always dreamt of , but somehow the ladder to my growth was not one but three …

I Suhas work for an Ad agency which is owned by Anagha , a beautiful girl with an excellent marketing brain; an IIM’S topper and her special quality is that, she loves me a lot (oh god a lot)……………

I stay in a huge ancestral house with a bigger wada; this Wada belongs to Manjula and do you know how I’m settled there??? Exactly………. she loves me a lot too (oh god a lot). Hot, sensuous but very aggressive, she lives there with Subhan…... Subhan who? Areee Subhan… Subhan… It’s me again Subhan...

I have got a car too, a luxurious car, actually that’s Neha’s car …….. Neha’s a still photographer, a beauty who has got an idea of capturing beauty on celluloid, and what better than to make passion as a profession…… she loves Bakul a lot. Bingo! You are right. It’s me again, Bakul, she loves me a lot too (oh god a lot… phewww), so these were my ladders. Ladders to get me the three most important things to make a good life…… ROTI, GADI aur MAKAAN…………………..kapda’s old.

But I think my destiny had something else in store for me, I think my life was too easy to be true and God thought of spicing it up a bit or a bit more …………………….

He left three stooges (or you can say three snakes in this case) with each of the girls. THIS WAS THE EMI THAT I WAS PAYING FOR MY ROTI, GADI AUR MAKAAN. These three guys were in real love with their three female bosses and that’s not it, they some how knew that something was fishy in my relationship with the girls.

A client (fisherman) wanted Anagha’s agency to do the Ad with Manjula as the model and Anagha wanted Neha to shoot the Ad; this is how my individual ladders somehow got connected and I somehow got spiced, spiced like a live fish on the platter to just get fried and then started the hit and run game between me, my ladders and the snakes (stooges). They all wanted me to be present with them on my birthday at the same place and at the same time. They wanted to get introduced to Suhas, Subhan and Bakul. How in the world can I do that? Would I get out of this and many more situations like these? I seriously doubt that.

But guys, this was just the first half of my life; I thought after they come to know about the truth my game would come to an end , but no, it went on to be more topsy-turvy like a roller coaster. God save me please, I had forgotten that snakes are always there with the ladder…
