Amrita Rao was born born in a Konkani family in June 9, 1981.She did her schooling from C.G.High school and completed her degree in Psychology. Her father is an owner of an Advertising company.so having knowledge of camera and acting she got her first TV commercial for Fairever Fairness cream. And then she was seen in Hindustan Lever’s Closeup, Cadbury’s Perk and nestle Bru Coffee and other 35 commercials. She did her debut in Raj Kanwar’s Ab Ke Baras in 2002 but the movie was flopped and in 2003 came Ishq Vishk opposite to Shahid Kapoor which brought the success in her career. In 2004 came Masti and Main Hoon Na which were big hits that year .But after that Deewaar (2004), Wah, Life Ho to Aisi, Shikhar (2005), Pyare Mohan (2006) were big loss for her and then came Sooraj Barjatiya’s Vivah in 2006 which again changed her life and she was in lime light again. After Vivah she did not much film in Bollywood but she did a Telugu film Athidi in 2007 which was a big hit. She is very well known for her dancing skill and she was chosen by M. F.
