She then received the film Hum aapke dil mein rehte hain. She had portrayed the role of Kajol sister’s role. She also did Hu Tu Tu. Then after this, she did the role in the movie Lagaan opposite Aamir Khan. This role bagged her many awards. Then she did Munna Bhai MBBS and a Telugu movie named as Santosham. She then did the Punjabi film named as Lakh Pardesi Hoye. She is the trained Bharatnatyam and classical dancer.
