Hema Malini is a Actor and also worked as Director, Singer, Producer, Story Writer. Hema Malini has mostly worked in Hindi and has worked in languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali.
She was married on 16 October 1948. She is an Indian actress, director and producer, Bharatanatyam dancer-choreographer, and a politician, well known for the roles in Hindi cinema. She made her bollywood entry with the film Sapno Ka Saudagar. She then did movies like: Sharafat, Tum Haseen Main Jawan, Naya Zamana, Raja Jani, Seeta Aur Geeta, Patthar Aur Payal, Dost, Charas, Jugnu, Azaad, Dillagi and Dil Kaa Heera, Trishul, Joshila, Khushboo, Kinara (1977) and Meera (1979), Kranti, Naseeb, Satte Pe Satta, Ek Chadar Maili Si (1986), Rihaee and Jamai Raja (1990) and many others. She was nominated 11 times for the ‘Filmfare award’. She was given the Padma Shri award and she was presented with the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award. She is married to Dharmendra and has two daughters: Esha and Ahana Deol. She also got Sir Padampat Singhania University conferred an Honorary Doctorate. She was also a chairperson at the National Film Development Corporation. She is also a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. She was born in Iyengar family. She was born to V.S. Ramanujam Chakravarthy and Jaya Chakravarthy. She completed her education Andhra Mahila Sabha in Chennai and at DTEA Mandir Marg till class 10 but did not complete class 10 when she got into acting.
