She is married to Amitabh Bachchan. They have a daughter, Shweta-Nanda and a son Abhishek Bachchan. She entered bollywood with the Satyajit Ray’s movie Mahanagar (1963). As an adult, she acted in the movie Guddi (1971).Post marriage, she stopped doing the films. Then after this, she entered the industry with Silsila.
