She did more than Mother India (1957),[1] Son Of India (1962), Kohinoor (1960), Ujala, Naya Daur, Shreeman Funtoosh, Ek Sapera Ek Lutera, Ganga Ki Laharen, Raja Aur Rank, Aankhen (1968), Lalkaar and Geet etc. She acted in more than Bhojpuri films. She was discovered by Gurudutt. He picturised a song "Kabhi aar kabhi paar laaga teere nazar" for his movie Aar Paar (1954). She also did a role in ‘Pyasa’. She was also a trained Kathak dancer. She was trained under the famous Pandit Shambhu Maharaj. She was a dancer in the song ’ Madhuban mein Radhika nache re" and "Haye jaadugar qaatil, haazir hai mera Dil’. She left the industry after her getting married. She was the favorite choice of writer director Ramanand Sagar.
