Kumar Sanu is a Singer and also worked as Music Director, Producer, Actor, Presenter, Assistant Editor, Director, Background Music, Line Producer. Kumar Sanu has mostly worked in Hindi and has worked in languages like Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu.
He was born on 20 October 1957.He is a leading playback singer. He is the recipient of the Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer Award for five consecutive years. He is also the holder of Padma shri award. He completed his commerce degree from Calcutta University. He had worked with several well- known music composers such as Kalyanji Anandji, Ravindra Jain, Hridayanath Mangeshkar, Naushad, Pt.R K Razdan, and Usha Khanna. He sang song for the movies such as Deewana (1992), Saajan (1991), Baazigar (1993) and 1942: A Love Story (1994). He recorded more than 28 playback songs in one day. He worked with Nadeem-Shravan. He had worked with him in movies such as Damini – Lightning (1993), Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin (1991), Kal Ki Awaz (1992), Aashiqui (1990), Salami (1993), Saajan (1991), Sadak (1991), Dil Ka Kya Kasoor (1992), Deewana (1992), Shreeman Aashique (1993), Jeet (1996), Agni Sakshi (1996), Dilwale (1994), Pardes (1997), Raja Hindustani (1996), Sirf Tum (1999), Dil Hai Tumhaara (2002), Kasoor (2001), Dil Ka Rishta (2003), Andaaz (2003), Indian Babu (2003) and many others.
