Mammootty is a Actor and also worked as Director. Mammootty has mostly worked in Malayalam and has worked in languages like Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi.
He was born on 7 September 1951. He is known for his work in Malayalam movies. He has also worked in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi movies. He had acted in 300 movies. He is given the National Film Award for Best Actor three times. He is the recipient of five Kerala State Film Awards and eleven Filmfare Awards. In the year 1998, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. Manmootty is the only actor who won the National Film Award based on performances in two different films on two different occasions. His work includes Ponthan Mada, Mathilukal, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha (1989) and Vidheyan (1993).
