Mohit Chauhan is a Singer and also worked as Actor. Mohit Chauhan has mostly worked in Hindi and has worked in languages like Hindi, Bengali, Tamil.
He was born on 11 March, 1966. He is an Indian singer and is known as a playback singer in bollywood. He got two film fare awards for his singing. He was born in Nahan town of Himachal Pradesh. He is the ex-student of Pahari, English and Hindi and St. Xavier's School, Delhi. Then he again got shifted to Himachal Pradesh. Then after this, he did his Master’s in Geology. He never got formal training in singing. Then after he completed his education, he moved to Delhi and formed his band known as Silk Route. He released his two albums Boondein (1998) and Pehchan. But the band got separated. Then again in 2005, he came up with Guncha song and this was appreciated much. Then AR Rahman approached him to sing for Rang de basanti. He then had list of hit songs in his bag. He also got nominated for all those songs. Some of his songs include: "Pehli Nazar Mein Dari Thi", "Khoon Chala" and "Masakali", "Tum Se Hi", "Tu Ne Jo Na Kaha" "Ye Dooriyan" etc. He has also lent his voice for many known commercials too.
