Nafisa Ali

She was born on 18 January 1957. She is an Indian actress and a social activist. She was born to photographer Ahmed Ali and Philomena Torresan in Kolkata, West Bengal. He was the son of S. Wajid Ali and brother of Zaib-un-Nissa Hamidullah. She completed her education from Sr. Cambridge from La Martiniere Calcutta. She also attended Vedanta taught by Swami Chinmayananda, who started the center Chinmaya Mission of World Understanding. She is married to a Polo player and Arjuna awardee, retired Col R.S. Sodhi. She has three children: daughters Armana, Pia and son Ajit. She was a swimmer and was a swimming champion. She also won the Miss. India contest. She was the runner-up at the Miss International contest in 1977. She did movies like: Junoon (1979) with Shashi Kapoor, Major Saab with Amitabh Bachchan (1998), Bewafaa (2005), Life In A... Metro (2007) and Yamla Pagla Deewana (2010) with Dharmendra. She also acted in a Malayalam film called Big B (2007) with Mammootty. She also contested the Lok Sabha elections.
