He was a Marathi film actor. He died on 13 July 2009.He did more than 250 Marathi movies. He also did many Hindi movies too. He was a social worker. He was born in 1930. He was born in Pune to great social reformer Mahatma Jyotirao Phule. He was also involved in freedom movement in India. He was first a gardener. But he couldn’t work in this profession, due to the financial problems. Then he was inspired by Tagore’s writings and then he did a play known as Udyan. His drama Katha Akalecha Kandyachi, went to have 2000 shows. He played the role of villains in the Marathi cinema. He died due to cancer. His wife Rajani Phule died in 2011.
