Radhika Apte from Pune, Maharashtra is an Economics graduate from Ferguson College. In her home town she was involved in Mohit Takarkar’s theatre troupe. She first got noticed by the great actor Rahul Bose during her play Bombay Black directed by Anahita Oberoi.And he suggested her name to Director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and got a role in Antaheen with Aparna Sen, Sharmila Tagore and Rahul Bose. She played the role of a TV journalist named Brinda Roy Menon in Antaheen . She got the chance to work on many Marathi plays like Tu, Purnaviram and Matra Yatra, Kanyadaan with Lileete Dubey, Samuel Beckett’s That Time with Rehan Engineer. She is appearing in Sumitra Bhave – Sunil Sukhthankar’s untitled movie where she is playing a village girl named Savitri. She is making an entry into Bollywood with the movie Waiting Room, a thriller by Sunil Doshi.
