He was born on 17 December 1978. His father was Mr. Vilasrao Deshmukh who was a political leader. He made his bollywood entry with the movie Tujhe meri kasam. But, the film was a moderate hit at the box-office. It was the film Masti that worked well and he got filmfare award too. He then did movies like: Kya Kool Hai Hum, Bluffmaster!, Malamaal Weekly, Heyy Babyy, Dhamaal, Housefull, Double Dhamaal, Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya, Housefull 2, Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum, Grand Masti, Humshakals and Ek Villain. He also produced a Marathi movie Balak Palak that turned out to be a commercial hit. He also entered Marathi industry with his movie Lai Bhaari.He is married to Genelia D’souza.
