She got IIFA award for best supporting actress and GIFA Awards for Best Supporting Actress. She completed her education from The British School, New Delhi and studied modern history at Balliol College, Oxford and earned a Master’s degree in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She entered bollywood with the film ‘Dil Maange more. She also appeared in the movies: Antar Mahal (2005), Rang De Basanti (2006), Khoya Khoya Chand, 99, Tum mile, Mr Joe B. Carvalho etc. She has also hosted Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo. She is also a member of International Film and Television Club of Asian Academy of Film & Television.
