She appeared in many hit movies like Bhoot Bangla (1965), Jeene ki raah(1969),Paisa ya Pyaar(1969),Haathi mera saathi (1971) .And her performance was appreciated by all level of audience .Her latest movies Rule:Pyaar ka superhit Formula(2003) and Khaki (2004) was also appreciated. But she never got recognition as a superstar.in 1995 she appeared in a small role in Kalyug ke Avtaar and Deewar(2004) was her last movie in Bollywood.Tanuja is Nutan’s sister. Tanuja got married in 1973 and she is having two daughters named kajol who is a superstar in Bollywood and Tanisha who is also an actress. Her husband has passed away in April 2008.
