  My review of Uttaran (Colors) by bangreaayushi

  The story starts with Iccha who is a daughter of a maid. Her mother and Iccha live with a rich family, ‘The Thakurs’. Thakur’s head, Jogi Thakur’s car meets with an accident and in that accident he kills Iccha‘s father. So, to get rid of this mistake he decides to keep his family under his surveillance. Therefore, the family lives with them. Initially, the daughter of Jogi Thakur, Tapasya becomes Iccha’s best friend and both of them live for each other. But after this, it is Tapasya’s Nani who makes her realize of that Iccha is not worth to be her friend. Slowly, she starts hating Iccha and there arises cracks in their relationship. Iccha decides to choose her friend Tapasya instead of the comforts that Jogi Thakur is providing. Years pass by and both Ichha and Tapasya become good friends. Tapasya is interested in becoming a model whereas Iccha desires of becoming a teacher. Jogi decides to get her daughter, Tapasya married. So, in her life enters Veer who hails from a Bundela family. Veer comes to see Tapasya but falls in for Iccha as Tapasya is engaged to someone else. But after Tapasya comes to know about Veer’s family, she decides to marry him replacing Iccha on her wedding day. Now Iccha and Veer’s love is in trouble and both of them struggle hard to become each other’s forever. Tapasya plays her game very well and she decides to create confusions in Iccha’s and Veera’s life. She even plans to kill Ichha. After the family coming to know about Tapu’s this act, they decide to dismiss her and get Veer and Iccha married. Now again the serial is filled with many twists and turns. In Tapasya’s life enters Raghuvendra Pratp Singh who falls in love with her and decides to get married to her. He teaches her the real meaning of living life on good terms. Tapu is pregnant with Raghuvendra and she delivers a boy. But, Tapasya leaves the boy and she runs from her place. Iccha takes the baby with her and decides to take care of that boy. Tapasya again under the wrong impressions blames Iccha for the things happened. Iccha gives birth to a girl, Meethi and she adopts a boy, Kanha. Even Tapu gives birth to a girl, Mukta. Both Iccha’s and Tappu’s lives are messed up. With Iccha is sentenced to jail and Tappu is suffering from cancer. The serial takes years leap and both the girls are matured. Destiny again brings both the girls together and they become friends. The past is repeated and again the same thing happens. Now in Meethi’s life enters Vishnu who is in love with her and in Mukta’s life enters Akash for whom Mukta falls in love. The story is further shifted with the lives of these two characters. The same thing is repeated with the introduction of new characters and something strange happening in the story. Many characters have quit the show. It‘s just that there should be a full stop on this show now.
