Padmini Kolhapure was born to a singer family. She was born on 1st November 1965. Her father was classical singer and her mother was working in airlines. Asha Bhosle gave her name to Dev Anand in the film Ishq ishq Ishq. She then did many movies. Her role as a child artist in the movie Satyam Shivam Sundaram was praised. She played the character of Zeenat Aman in the film. Padmini then worked in the movie Insaf ka Tarazu (1980) at the age of 13. She played the role of a rape victim and her role gained much appreciation. As an adult star, she did many movies. But, the movies failed at the box office. It was then she acted in Prem Rog opposite Rishi Kapoor and this was hit at the box office. Then her movie Vidhaata (1982) opposite Sanjay Dutt was the blockbuster. She did many movies after this. But, she made her bollywood comeback in 2006 with the film Razdan’s Souten: The Other Woman. Padmini is married to Pradeep Sharma.She has a son named as Priyank.
