U.S. based Anjali Thapar (played by Amrita Rao) has repeated fantasy of a parallel life in India, the chapel of Devi Maa Durga, & some sword-brandish men on horseback. She and her mom consult a pandit, and he tells them to go to India to clear this matter up, as this relate to her past life. Mr. Thapar will only allow Anjali go there, after she join the man of his choice, so Anjali agrees to run away. Her daddy alerts her uncle, a CBI Officer Sikander Baksh (played by Danny Denzongpa), who is instantly working on her case. Anjali meets with car-burglar, Karan and his uncle (played by Arya Babbar and Shakti Kapoor), and then begins her campaign into a past life, as Nandini, the lover of freedom champion Abhay (also played by Arya Babbar), and his following death at the hands of British traitor Tejeshwar Singh (played by Ashutosh Rana). Anjali is not aware that Tejeshwar is still feasible, is a powerful minister in the Indian Government, and has resolved that he will make history repeat itself by detached the two lovers again - this time with the help of the government engine.
