Antaheen 1986

Antaheen is a 1986 Indian Bollywood film released on 1986. Notorious for his orthodox manmersums and defunct life style, Suresh, an assistant foreman in the printing section of a local newspaper hate the white-collared class and makes no bones about it. . A struggling union leader in his youth, he failed to make the grade, not because he was unaware of the socio-economic-political drawbacks of society but because he lacked the professional approach. Having dismissed for his job, a sense of frustration ensured both economic and emotional. The sole earning memebr of the family it became increasingly difficult to make both ends meet. By the time he started in his new job, a highly impoverished standard of living had been established. And continued what with the monthly inflow of cash being paralysed by huge advances drawn from the PF scheme, gratuity etc.. Also the casual borrowings of tens or twenties to meet daily expensies are not easy on the pocket. However it was echo of the latter frustration which destroyed the serenity and joy of his home. So much that today his wife Sarita, almost loaths him. She had been forced into marriage in the first place by her brother who wanted to get rid of heir soon after their parents death. And when she was expecting the second of their three children Suresh adn an extra-marital affair. . From that day onwards they started living in hell. The quarrel increased althogh Sarita has bravely over come the darkest moments of her life for the sake of her children she often wonders how long they can carry on this way. . Suresh meanwhile tried to assuge his guilty by accusing her of infidelity almost believing it when she maintains a deep silent in the face of his accusations. . At work thumps are no better, although at one time when Suresh found himself active in union affairs once again, events seemed to be looking up. The responsibility of a leader has been thrust upon him much to the anger of the onsted union bosses. In an attempt to maliagu him and half his growing popularity they make Sureshs past public consumption. Little realising the consequence of this act on the family.
