A divorced melancholy woman Mrs. Purnima Banerjee secures a job in a film named optima Company on the recommendation of her elder brother’s (Saibal) peer Utpal. The first works in association with UNESCO & works for the upliftment & emancipation of downtrodden woman all around the subcontinent. Purnima begins her report work by surveying the personal loves of prostitutes in an aggrandized form. She meets a friendly & cooperative colleague Devdutta who supports her through thick & thin. Meanwhile 2 incidents occur. Purnima gets acclimatized with Utpal’s philanthropic deeds & goes to visit a last staged cancer widow Debika whose medical responsibilities were taken up by Utpal. Debika’s only daughter Debi is bestowed upon Utpal. Secondly Purnima observes that her boss Kalpataru Dasgupta is being over friendly with her. After she submits her survey report, Purnima is astoundingly awarded a promotion. Purnima learns from Devdatta that Kalpataru is actually an imposter who makes money from social ventures but actually is a sexual mongrel. Debika dies. Purnima quits her job. She quits this makey world where the protectors are the predators & begin a new journey with Utpal & Debi.
