Awaaz is a 1984 Indian Bollywood costume drama, action, drama film released on Nov 23, 1984. The film is directed by Shakti Samanta, produced by Shakti Samanta , music composed by R. D. Burman.
The story starts with Jayant, who is an advocate. He works in the Bombay high court. He lives with his wife named as Anu and sister named as Priya. Jayant’s best friend is Amit Gupta, who is always ready to work for Jayant and he is a well wisher of Jayant. Amit Gupta is now killed in an accident. Now, things change for Amit’s family. Year’s after, Amit’s younger brother named as Vijay is admitted in the police and he is given the task of finding the actual reason behind Amit’s death. After brief study, Vijay get’s to know that Amit’s actual reason of death was a planned strategy by underworld people. The main leader of this was Mulchand Malhotra. Here, Jayant’s wife and his sister is raped and in this mental trauma his wife is found dead. Even on the other end, Jayan’t daughter, Nandita is kidnapped and things get worsens for Jayant and his entire family. The main role also in the raping and killing is Mul Chand Malhotra.
